Hidaya Institute for Quranic Sciences (Hidaya) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 and is based in the Washington DC Metropolitan area (DMV). Hidaya provides educational, prayer /worship, funeral, and Zakah services to its community and to the broader DMV area. Through its educational arm, Hidaya is currently providing online classes for individuals and families to develop and strengthen their connection with the Quran.
Classes We Offer
Learn To Read
Learn to read the Arabic text of the Quran by mastering Tajweed rules and proper pronunciation of letters. For beginners, QuranCoahes will be using the An-Nooraniyah book as a guide to help you master Quran reading.
Memorize
Memorize Suras/passages from the Quran with the assistance of your QuranCoach. QuranLearners are expected to recite from memory what they have memorized in a previous session, and read what they will memorize for the next. QuranCoaches will provide tips and strategies for retaining memorized ayaat.
QuranReflect
Attend an open space regular weekly Study Circle on Quran-related subjects such as Tafseer, Revelation, Compilation, Stories, etc. Study Circles are 60- 90 minutes long including presentation and discussion.
Just Recite
Your Quran Coach will be a listening board for you to recite either from memory or from the text. This is for those seeking an accountability Quran Buddy, or simply as an encouragement to regularly recite the Quran.

QuranCoaches
Our volunteer coaches have decades of experience teaching the Nobel Quran.
A number of them are huffadh and have official Ijazah (licensed certificate).
If you are qualified, we encourage you to volunteer some of your time to teach with us.
