HidayaGive is a non-profit organization based in the Washington DC Metropolitan area (DMV). HidayaGive collects and distributes Zakah and Sadaqa contributions to assist individuals, families, and institutions facing hardships. HidayaGive is staffed by professionals who volunteer their time and distribute 100% of collected funds for the benefit of those in need living in the DMV area. The personal relationships and trust we have built over a decade allows us to reach locals who are most in need

Importance of zakah

Zakat purifies the possessions and the spirituality of one who gives it. It creates a sense of self-discipline and shows your obedience to Allah s.w.t. By giving Zakat, a person shows that he is obeying the rules set by Allah s.w.t. His obedience brings him prosperity in both this world and the hereafter. Giving Zakat brings you closer to your God and increases your faith in Him.
